This plane was an experiment created by the Germans in an effort to see how
efficiently they could down bombers. The plane was fitted with 3 vertically
mounted gun tubes with single 30mm MK108 cannon rounds inside each tube.
The tubes were aligned along the left side of the fuselage behind the cockpit
and were focused upward and back at an angle. The weapon once armed was
triggered by a photoelectric cell that sensed the bombers shadow as the plane
flew beneath it.
This weapon was put on a Fw190A-8 for trials, but it never saw active service.
Since this was one of their secret weapons I thought it would be appropriate
weapon for SWOTL. I chose to put it on the Fw190A-5 instead, as this plane
is a bit under-utilized in SWOTL.
Just copy the SG116.EXP file into the Fw190A5.SPC file. This will allow you to
still fly the standard A-5 but switch to the SG116 as an option when you want.
